About Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT)
Their journey began in 1866 as the Hong Kong and Whampoa Dock Company, specializing in ship construction and repair. By 1969, they diversified into cargo and container handling as Hongkong International Terminals Limited (Hutchison Ports HIT).
In 1994, with the growth of their international port network, they evolved into Hutchison Port Holdings Limited (Hutchison Ports). Their expansion extended into logistics, transportation businesses, cruise ship terminals, distribution centers, rail services, and ship repair.
International Flagship by KICT Container Tracking
The Regional Operations Centre (ROC) concept emerged as a shared service center for centralized stowage planning delivery across terminals in the same region. Leveraging Pakistan’s abundant supply of young and educated workforce talents, robust telecommunication services, and economic ties, ROC found its home in Pakistan.
Hutchison Ports Pakistan, the flagship terminal in the Middle East & Africa region, will pioneer ROC services, offering centralized stowage planning not only to Karachi terminals but also to other Asian terminals.
