The inception of the Health Information and Service Delivery Unit (HISDU) was driven by the commitment of the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) to fully automate and computerize the health system. HISDU serves as a vital channel through which the department ensures a seamless transition into a computerized P&SHD.
Its primary focus is to facilitate the efficient transmission of directives, initiatives, and requests, ensuring proper and timely execution. Moreover, HISDU takes the lead in developing customized software and database designs, incorporating Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) tools across all facets of the department.
Main Goal of Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD)
The overarching goal of the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) is to deliver quality healthcare services to the community through an efficient and accessible service delivery system. This system is designed to be equitable, culturally acceptable, affordable, and sustainable.
