About CITPL Container Tracking
PSA Chennai International Terminals Pvt Ltd is shortly called as CITPL, which is a subsidiary of PSA International working worldwide. CITPL won concession agreement in 2007 thereby initiated operations in 2009. Moreover, it the only Container terminal in CHENNAI with on dock rail siding facility. Hence, it can swiftly transfer goods to hinterland. Overall terminal infrastructure has the following features:
| Quay Cranes (QCs) | 7 Numbers of QCs, lifting capacity is SWL 60 MT with Twin lift option and lifting capacity under the hook is SWL 75 MT |
| Rubber Tired Gantry Cranes (RTGCs) | 20 numbers of RTGCs with a lifting capacity of SWL 40 MT |
| Height Frame (OH) & Hook Beam (HB) | Both OH Frames and Hook Beams are each 2 numbers. It is used to handle over-height boxes and special cargos |

Complete Layout of CITPL is spread over 28 hectares while there are in total 3 main gates for the complex. One for imports containers, second for exports containers and the third for empty containers.

In order to visit to admin building, a Visitor Pass Form has to be submitted to the security guard at admin gate. For vehicle entry, a Vehicle Entry Permit Form has to be submitted to Functional Manager. While for access to terminal area and vessel, you will have to submit an Entry Approval Form to the shift Superintendent.
